Passion, work, quality of raw materials, environmental protection and respect for the earth are the values that distinguish us.

It all started in the Vallo di Diano, at the foot of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park.

In the small village of San Pietro al Tanagro (SA), immersed in the nature and colors of an uncontaminated territory, for generations, the Romaniello family has been involved in agriculture for the cultivation of products mainly for livestock use.

In 2011 Michele Romaniello, with the help of his son Angelo and the whole family, decides to start the dream of a lifetime: the study, cultivation and processing of local cereals and legumes. The grains chosen for cultivation are all local species: Abundance, Carosella, Ianculedda, Saragolla, Senatore Cappelli etc. which over the years have adapted well to the local climate. In addition to cereals, white and black chickpeas, beans, corn, buckwheat and flax seeds are also grown, which alternate from year to year in the various soils, strictly respecting the old farming practices, without adding chemical fertilizers.

Agricola Romaniello has resumed working the land with the ancient method of crop rotation in order to enrich the earth with all the nutrients the plants need, avoiding fertilizers, chemicals and synthetic products. Today this ancient technique, together with other good practices, is called organic farming.

The only practices we use in our organic crops are: green manuring, at the base of which there is the sowing and burying of particular plants (clover, vetch, broad beans) to fertilize the soil and protect it from erosion; crop rotation, which consists in alternating the cultivation of plants (legumes) that improve the fertility of the soil, with plants that impoverish it (cereals), subtracting nutritional elements. Natural organic fertilizers are also used, such as compost.

All our production is transformed: the wheat becomes stone-ground flour in our trusted mill and the same for the other cereals and legumes. In addition to sowing and cultivation, we fully follow all the transformation steps in first person to guarantee our products the genuineness with which they grow.

The seeds used are totally self-produced, selecting at the end of the harvest the best grains of each variety that will be used for sowing the fields by broadcasting or with pneumatic seeder the following year.
