Short description: Pumpkin is a typically autumn vegetable with an unmistakable color. It is known by all for its sweetness and is used in many recipes that are part of the Italian culinary tradition, such as baked pumpkin or pumpkin risotto. Pumpkin pesto is an ideal product to be used as it is as a base for sauces, pizzas and soups.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from light and heat sources. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 4 days.

Inspired by the praise of the serene rural life to the sacredness of the work of the great poet Virgil, we took the invitation to seek the good in the simplicity and raw materials of our land.

The properly washed and peeled pumpkin is blanched in an aqueous solution containing vinegar, then it is homogenized with the remaining part of the ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil. The final product is then placed in pots and thermally sanitized.
The product has a solid-creamy consistency with possible presence of oil veins visible to the naked eye.

All the products made by the Vergilius srls company are subjected to a series of checks during all stages of the production chain (cultivation and treatments in the field, harvesting, processing and storage). The finished products are subjected to chemical, microbiological and physical analyzes in order to guarantee their sanitary quality.
