Short description: Belonging to the Asteraceae (or Composite) family, the SCAROLA (from the vulgar Latin escariola , from escarus: bait, food) is a plant rich in mineral salts, known for its diuretic properties.

Widely used as a winter side dish and queen on the eve of the Christmas holidays where it is used in the famous endive pizza, consumed for lunch before indulging in the revels of dinners.

VERGILIUS proposes it again following the most classic of Neapolitan recipes: stewed with oil, capers and olives, ready to use for a quick and healthy side dish.

Ingredients: Scarole (IT) 88%, extra virgin olive oil, pitted black olives, capers, garlic, chilli, salt, dried grapes (SULPHITES), PINE NUTS.

PRESERVATIVE FREE.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from light and heat sources. After opening, keep refrigerated and use within 5 days. Ready to use product, heat and season.
